  • August Craft Bar at MOCFA

    Craft Bar and Etsy Labs @ MOCFA on Thursday, August 5 between 6-9pm at 51 Yerba Buena Lane, San Francisco, Ca 94103. Making books and munching on grilled cheese sandwiches…it doesn’t get much better! Guest artists Julie Schneider, Kelly Ball, Jen Hewett, and Maren Salomon will provide a variety of easy-to-learn bookmaking projects using found and recycled materials. Learn how to make an embroidered greeting card with Lauren Davis, from Crooked Sister. The LoinSF will be on hand with a simple silk-screening project that will suit all skill levels - bring a favorite paper-based item to screen on or screen on materials provided. Free-form knitting and crocheting in the Stitch 'n Bitch area! Refreshments provided by Trumer Pils and Amber India. Purchase the best grilled cheese in town at the famous Toasty Melts food cart. Craft Bar is free with $5 admission to the gallery, and all materials and instructions for the craft.

    CRAFT BAR with ETSY LABS @ MOCFA SF, Thursday April 1, 6-8pm. Students FREE!

    Craft Bar with Etsy Labs at MOCFA continues! Join crafter extraordinaire Katy Kristin as she teaches you how to take old sweaters and turn them into cute and cuddly plushies or upcycled cup cozies with sweaters donated by Crossroads Trading Co.! April's CRAFT BAR is free for students, and will feature live music from local favorite Allie Simpson. Not feeling the plushitude? Join Amelia Strader and Marita Klements in the stitch-n-bitch area for free-form knitting or crocheting with yarn donated by Simplicity. Take inspiration from the gallery and the store while you explore the creative process, socialize, and enjoy refreshments from Trumer Pils. Fee is $5 (for non-students) which includes one free beer, admission to the gallery, and all materials.

    Resident Crafter Amelia will be doing the Etsy Virtual Lab ON www.etsy.com at 1 PM on April 1 – be sure to check it out if you can't make it to Craft Bar!
