There's an admitted difference between runway style and hallway style, but it's always fun to be inspired by the latest designer looks (curated here by marieclaire.com). Analyze what you see and how it can be interpreted to fit your taste and body type, pick out (or draft) a pattern and some fabulous fabrics from Britex, and go to town!

Trend One: the Walking Quilt! Patchwork looks can be created by piecing different fabrics together, or by cutting your garment out of a single patchwork printed design. Our Bohemian Print panel fabric, seen above, offers a great patchwork look.

Trend Two: the Second Skin! Shiny outerwear, including leather and faux leather with belting, are appearing again on runways. Check out our real leather, eel and snake skins on the fourth floor of our brick-and-mortar store, or go vegan with shiny or matte faux leather by the yard on the second floor.

Trend Three: Nip and Tuck! Belts or cinchers are shown with just about every look this fall, so be sure to check out the hundreds of buckles, fasteners, and other hardware we have on the third floor at our hardware counter. We have buckles in all shapes, sizes and colors.

Trend Four: Plaid-tastic! Red is a favorite shade in plaid this year, but you'll see plaids in every color of the rainbow. Check out some of our plaid wool fabrics online here.
