Birds with Nests - Home Decorating Fabric

March 19, 2010 by Britex Fabrics 2 comment(s)

I love this new home decorating fabric depicting delightfully perched wrens with their nests, springtime flowering tree branches, and cavorting butterflies. I’d use it for pleated kitchen curtains, and trim them with swinging oversized blue ball-fringe! This 54” wide cotton is available on Britex Fabric’s 2nd floor for $29.99/yard. It comes in blue/rusty orange/yellow ocher (shown) or pink/taupe/fuchsia. Emily says it best:
“For every Bird a Nest --
Wherefore in timid quest
Some little Wren goes seeking round --
Wherefore when boughs are free --
Households in every tree --
Pilgrim be found?
Perhaps a home too high --
Ah Aristocracy!
The little Wren desires --
Perhaps of twig so fine --
Of twine e'en superfine,
Her pride aspires --
The Lark is not ashamed
To build upon the ground
Her modest house --
Yet who of all the throng
Dancing around the sun
Does so rejoice?”

I have two pillows made out of this fabric and have been looking for more for curtains for ages. If it is still available how might I go about purchasing some.
