Jody, San Francisco mommy blogger of RocketCityDigs and newly hatched seamstress, whipped up this sweet jumper for her toddler from Britex Fabrics mushroom-sprinkled cotton. This simple style is perfect for wee ones, and once they have gotten too tall to wear it as a dress, this frock performs admirably as a top!
We just got in these dotty-licious cotton fabrics this week! The first fabric has a leafy olive green background and rows of stalwart polka-dotted penny bun mushrooms (44” wide and $14.99/yard), and then we have egg and bird silhouette fabric in two color-ways…yummy fuchsia with canary yellow, and lime green with robin’s egg blue (44” wide and $12.99/yard). This 100% cotton medium-weight fabric can be found on Britex Fabric’s 2nd floor.
Please email M. Du Jour at Britex Fabrics if you want to buy this fabric.

This print is so lively and kitchen-licious that it makes me want to can some late summer peaches into vanilla-infused white peach sauce, and Marisa at FoodInJars can tell me how to undertake this fragrant and yummy task! I love the melody of toadstools, wee marching birds, tulips, fruit, and roosters that prance helter-skelter across this cotton; it would be perfect as kitchen café curtains and trimmed with giant puffs of white ball fringe! This apparel-weight cotton fabric is 44” wide, $14.99 a yard, and found on Britex Fabric’s 2nd floor.
Secretary from Britex’s 4th floor made these easy-peasy two piece pants for her nephew, “Little Hog”. He likes to wear these while gumming and sucking down Brazilian barbeque. Yum!
(We think children’s pants would also be super cute in this retro-looking dotted mushroom or this swingin’ birdcage fabric)
