Duane from the sewing blog Mainely Dad is one of our favorites, and we are one of his. He recently made a purple velvet jacket with velvet from Britex Fabric. He is a fan of hand sewing and does beautiful tailoring work; we love his detailed photos of lining the sleeve in this garment. He says, “I’m giving it it’s first outing at my nephew’s engagement party this weekend. I’m sure no one will be wearing anything like it. I must say this was a very challenging project, working with two pretty finicky fabrics.”, but we suspect that he is this handsomely debonair all the time.
