Sewing Indie Month Review
Sewing Indie Month is going strong. If you’ve been missing some of the activity, check out our previous post to find out what pattern companies are participating. Also, don’t forget about the sewalongs. Here’s an update from each of our sewalong leaders…
Wanett of Sown Brooklyn just posted this summery look last week. She chose a blue Britex linen (so sorry, it’s all gone). This drop waist pattern by Pauline Alice would also look mighty fine in our Sweet Wine Linen or Rust Linen & Viscose blend.
Jenny of Cashmerette will be posting this project on May 22 using our super fun Perky Floral Silk and this pattern by Sinbad & Sailor.
Rhonda from Rhonda’s Creative Life will be posting her sewalong on May 28 using our border print rayon to make this gorgeous pattern by Sew Chic.
Don’t forget to visit Laura Mae of Lilacs & Lace. (If this name sounds familiar, it’s because Laura Mae is also a Britex Guest Blogger
She’ll be making something fabulous and mysterious (you can count on it!) with our Geranium Red Linen. Plus, follow Lilacs & Lace for amazing sewing tutorials like this one on seam finishes.
Britex Guest Bloggers, Nicole from Nicole at Home and Morgan from Thread Theory will also be participating.
Nicole will be making a silk top (this print is all gone, but how about this for an alternative) and Pale Goldenrod Wool pants using two casual patterns by SBCC Patterns.
Morgan just finished making this dress by Sew Caroline in one of our Palest Lemon Striped Bamboo Jersey Knit.
Stay tuned for updates as the projects are created. Plus, don’t forget you can participate in the sewalongs. Learn more here.
