1| Pick a font you like that doesn’t have a ton of detail. We downloaded a free font called Exo for this project. It’s interesting, but still easy to cut. You can make the letters as large as you like. For ease of printing, we kept our words to 8.5 x 11″.

2| Cut the letters out from the print out.

3| In order to keep the letters still as you trace them, use double-sided tape or roll single sided tape as shown.

IMG_04

4| Add tape around the back side of the letters.

IMG_05

5| Place letters on felt, right side up.

6| Trace the letters with a fine marker.

7| Carefully cut out the letters being careful so that none of the markings show.
